What is manly?

Mark Driscoll is tougher then Arnold.

I had to post this now before I forgot but I will write more about it later. The link will take you to the Wittenburg Door site and it is a very funny article. It also raises some interesting questions about both Mark Driscoll and what it means to be a pastor in America right now.

Wow!! It seems like this guy has gone off the deep end in another desperate attempt to get more guys "in" church.
I'm so sick and tired of trying to homogonize people in any way, shape, or form and it seems like a lot Christians are experts at this!

Now there's a guy with a definite need for therapy. Apparently he hasn't taken the time to actually know or care for the individuals that compose his 6000 member congregation. If he had, he may have noticed that no two people are truly alike and that macho men are not looked up to. The macho stereotype of meat eating, muscle building, fight club watching, animal killing, and gas-guzzling truck guys, indicates to everyone (but apparently themselves) that they have relational and emotional deficits; they lack humility, compassion, gentleness, goodness, self-control, etc; they are wrapped up in superficial, meaningless drama; they promote "outreach" that pushes people away; they ostracize others instead of love them; and they are the most likely to die of obesity, high blood pressure, heart disease, and stupid adrenaline/testosterone related car accidents. If I wasn't afraid of being punched by such a "Christ-like-less" primate, I would spit on them and send them back to preschool to learn kindness and sharing.

You're awesome Nicole!;) The mental image I've just conjured up is priceless.

Wow. I find this guy offensive in so many ways I don't know where to start. Nicole did a good job already. There are some good comments on Wittenberg Door, too.
